Day 3 - Paris

We headed out to versailles which we knew would be crowded due to the hordes of people on the 30 minute train ride from Paris. As we walked up to the palace via cobblestone walkway we noted just how huge the palace really was. Inside we used audio guides that told us the stories of kings and Marie "let them eat cake" antoinette. The palace was impressive however the crowds were not. Also some famous anime sculpturer decided to put his art on display making an odd clash of history. Once out of the palace we went out back to the sprawling gardens over a mile long equipped with 20 foot hedges, statues, fountains, and maze like paths. All and all lots walking and a house a little bigger than what we are looking for.
In the afternoon we headed back to people watch in the square of montmatre but of course this was after a 2 hour nap! There we had wine and beer outside a restaurant while an artist finished a painting in the rain before our eyes. That's dedication. From here we meandered down to pigalle which was filled with bars and scandalous sex shops. This is where moulin rouge is located and you can get a ticket for only 130 euros! Here we enjoyed happy hour drinks and planned the nights events which included jazz at a swanky jazz club on rue de lumbard. Totally amazing. Our night came to a close as we savored the saxophone melodies and subwayed back to the hotel.

P.s. sorry no pictures yet :(
